We have been looking at our figures over the past 12 months with regard to the sale of pickup hardtops and have seen some interesting statistics come from them and we thought we would share the findings with you. The black hardtops out sell all other colours of pickup hardtops by at least 50%. The runner up to the colour black is Silver with this colour making up 25% of our sales and the 3rd most popular colour for pickup hardtops is grey. This is across the board regardless of make and model of pick - up truck. Our sales break down basicly goes:
Black 50%
Silver 25%
Grey 15%
All other colour hardtops 10%
This information is useful when selecting the colour of vehicle when ordering your pickup from a dealer as you are going to find it a lot easier to get a hardtop or painted pickup accessory in your colour if you go for a popular colour from the list above.
We can also inform you that the most popular pickup truck for buying accessories for is the Nissan Navara D40, followed by the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi L200 with the Isuzu Rodeo bringing up the rear. What this means is that if you are looking for a truck where you want every conceivable accessory than you need to pick a truck that's towards the top of that list as suppliers will put more time and development into creating accessories for a truck that they know accessories will sell for.
